Skiatook Lake What a day 5/3/14

Another great day at Skiatook Lake. A great 50 fish hybrid/wiper day with the Jon Harmon group. We got a 6:30 am start and headed up the lake to our first stop. Didn't see a whole lot of fish activity but was defiantly going to give it a try. It has been giving up some big fish and a lot of them and today was not any different. They had fish coming over the side of the boat within 20 minutes of the lines being in the water. Most of our fish on this spot came off free lines. They limited out in about 2 1/2 hours. We hit our final spot of the day after a call from a friend on the lake ( Butch Cross) that they couldn't keep the baits in the water and sure enough they put another 25 fish in over the side. These where all released to fight another day. Be sure to check out my face book page for some more pictures.

Skiatook Lake 4/26/14

Had the pleasure of taking Doug Lay and 2 of his fishing buddies out today. We met at Skiatook Lake at 7 am, loading everyone in the boat and up the lake we went. We stopped on a place that produced really good the evening before in hopes there were still a few hungry ones left. The bite was slow but we did manage to put 5 in the box, After about a hour of that we went on the hunt trying here and there with just a few small fish to show for it. Now by now the wind had really picked up to about 25 to 30 mph. But like true fishermen, we continue the search and it really paid off.  Marker in the water and down went the anchor. Now being able to hit your mark after the rope on the anchor tightens in 30 mph winds is nothing but luck. I will take luck any time and the boat stopped almost right on where we wanted. Since luck was on our side, instantly rods started to bend over. We finished the day there with good steady action to fill our limit out. You can read more about this luck on my face book page.

Skiatook Lake 4/25/14

Another great day on Skiatook Lake. I had Trey Hanna out with me and man did it ever come together that evening. Made the first stop on the honey hole and the honey was all gone 2 small fish and we where on the move again. Now that didn't happen twice. On this move Trey didn't even get a chance to put the rod in the holder. This stop it was game on and they were hungry. We ended the day with around 25 hybrids along with a brute.Check it out on my face book page.

Skiatook Lake 4/19/2014

What a great day on Skiatook Lake. The hybrids where hungry and I had 2 willing ladies to put the bait in front of them. We put several in the boat on the first stop and tried a few more places and then the last stop it was on again. They put 20 to 25 fish in the boat along with a couple in the 5 and 6 pound range. You can fine more info on my face book page. The bite is hot right now and should be great all the way thru May

Chouteau Bend 4/12/14

Another great day at Chouteau Bend. Bri,Trey and Kiki really put a good hurt on the white bass ( sand bass ). We got to the honey hole baited up and man Bri had one coming to the boat immediately. That was followed up very quickly with Kiki and Trey. This was a super fun trip for me. This group was brother and sisters and they where a fish catching bunch. The final total for the day was 107 sand bass. We even had Kiki taking fish off her line. Go to my face book page and see a cooler full of fish.

Chouteau Bend sand bass(white bass) 4/11/14

I had a fun trip with my brothers out on Chouteau Bend. We hit the water about 8:30 in the morning. It took us about 2 hours to catch enough bait to get started with and then up the river we headed. I stopped on a spot we have been hammering the sandies on and this day wasn't any different. We baited up and in just a few minutes we had fishing coming in so fast it was all I could do to keep them baited up. Bill the one in the bottom picture caught a sandy and while reeling it in a spoonbill ran into the line and wrapped around it. He caught the spoonbill along with the sand bass. I have never had that happen. We ended up with a 100 sand bass but only kept the ones that were gill hooked. Great day of fishing with 2 great brothers. Don't forget to check my face book page out.

Chouteau Bend Sand Bass 4/8/14

I met Ryan, Eric and Larry at Maize Landing. Launched the boat and spent 20 minutes catching bait and up the river we went. First stop yielded 12 nice big sandies. We never did get the bite that I was looking for so we pulled everything in and made another move father up the river. We anchored up and the sandies started coming over the boat. Here are some pictures that I squeezed in. Check out the face book page for some more info
