Fishing with the wife and good friends
Took the wife and good friends Mark and Jackie Morris out today to give the sand bass fishing a try. We found them and ended up cleaning 25 that we caught in about one hour. The water temp was in the low 50s. the fish came out of 20 ft. of water on live shad. They had caught what they wanted and we decided to look for some spoonbill and after working hard to catch one we decided to call it quits on a perfect day on the water.
Chouteau Bend snagging trip 3/29/14
Had a second trip out this Saturday afternoon with the Weaver family. They put 10 fish in the boat with the biggest weighing in around 65 lbs. This was there first time they have ever been snagging and man did they ever have fun. The first fish came within a couple of minutes.

Spoonbill 3/18/14
Had a great trip out today with a group of guys that Jeff Kendall gathered up. We started around 4 pm and got into them pretty quick. The only problem was they where small. By now the wind had died down and we made a move to a different spot and it payed off big. The fish they where hauling over the side of the boat went from 45 to 70 lbs. They ended up with 13 fish on a 3 hour trip. Here are a few pictures from the trip. Notice all the smiles. Thanks for a great day guys. The fish are moving up the river and the fishing has really picked up from just last week. Don't forget the sand bass fishing is going start getting hot at Chouteau Bend. Don't forget to check out my new face book page.

Snagging trip 3/9/14
Had the Macintosh family out today and boated 16 spoonbill in 4 hours,. After about 3 hours of snagging the fish really started to scatter, They weren't group up as tight when we first started. Most fish weighed from 10 to 55 lbs. It wont be long before the sand bass will be running up the river and the hybrid bite on Skiatook Lake should be ready to take off about the first of April, Couldn't ask for a better day to be on the water. Nice and calm and good company.

Spoonbill Snagging 3/7/2014
Had a father and son trip out today and ended up with around
6 spoonbill. We where out for about 3 hours and the fish went from 30 to 60 lbs. Steve ( the dad ) caught the first 3 and Levi did a quick catch up. We got spooled on one fish and ended catching the line about 1 hour later, Levi took the line and pulled it in it stilled had the fish on the end of it. The weather man said it was to reach 60 degrees but it sure felt a whole colder. Thanks guys for a fun trip.
