Are we ever on some good fish. Yesterday we found the spoonbill stacked up in several places. Here is a screen shot of what we were seeing on the locator and to prove it here is a picture of one we caught out of it. We also went looking for some blues and got on them really quick. We caught 5 of those and called it a day. A little cold but the action easily made up for it. The hunting is coming to close but the fishing is on fire.
Had a fun trip out with some repeat customers, Justin and Trey. We started the day off by catching some shad in the river for some blues, but before we hit them we stopped on some spoonbill and really laid into them. We caught 5 in about 1 hour and then moved on to finish the day on a good catfish bite. It was really cold outside but winter time can be some of the best fishing in Oklahoma.
Made a trip with Dave Clark Saturday to look for a few spoonbill. We got the boat splashed and went straight to where we thought they would be. We did a little looking and a few minutes we had the first 40 pounder coming over the boat, We caught 5 in about 1 hour and then went looking for some blues. We caught 15 of those from 3 to 17 lbs. in about 1 and a half hour and called it quits. Great day on the water. Winter time has some of the best fishing in Oklahoma especially for blues and spoonbill.
Made a trip with Dave Clark to Sooner Lake today in hopes of finding some hybrids. I don't think they have been generating for a while, the water temp was 49 degrees. We couldn't fine any hybrids so we went looking for some blues and ended up with 6 or 7. Still a fun cold day to be on the water.
