Keystone Lake striper fishing 8/17/14

Went on a scouting trip with Dave Clark from Fish on Guide Service to Keystone to look for a few stripers. We didn't catch many but we did catch this 12 lber. We went over a large school of fish and ever rod in the boat went down and we managed only one fish. But it was a good one. Go to my face book page and see what a school of fish look like on a locator.

Keystone striper fishing 8/14/14

Man what a fishing trip! I had the pleasure of taking out Michael,Russ and Austin out for some striper fishing on Keystone Lake and did they ever get the job done. Our biggest striper weighed in at 10lb. along with a hybrid at the same weight. They ended up with a total of 11 fish. We got on these fish in 14 ft. of water and it was on. There were a couple of times when we had doubles on. This was the first time they have ever fished for stripers and I do believe they are hooked. The fish did not appear until around 7 pm and the screen just lit up with arches. I use all live bait and they just double the rods in the water when these big fish hit. Now there is one picture I did not post and you can see it on my face book page. This fish is bigger then the 10 lb. hybrid. My mistake was I did not take and have it weighed in. I know the lake record for a hybrid is 11.5 lbs. and I do believe this one would have been really close. Check it out on my face book page to see Austin holding his large hybrid.

Skiatook Lake 8/4/14

Had a evening trip with the Gloss family. Kevin and Sheri and their 2 boys Dallas and Weston. They have never fished for hybrids before but it did not take them long to get the hang of it. The first stop yielded 3 or 4 fish. It was way to slow so off we went looking and we found them in 33 feet of water along the river channel. It didn't take long and it was on. I think all 3 of them had fish coming over the side of the boat. At the end of the day they had boated 20 fish with the biggest in the 5 lb. range. You couldn't of asked for a better day to fish and to top it off was a great view of a wonderful sunset.
