Skiatook Lake March 30th

Dave Clark. Butch Cross and myself decided to take a scouting trip to Skiatook to look for hybrids. Our first stop yielded 5 to 6 fish with Butch catching most of those with a pearl colored wildeye. Then the rain came along with the lighting and we where off to the boat ramp to wait it out. After about 45 minutes we loaded back into the boat and off we went again. This next stop we really loaded up on the hybrids. At the end of the day we probably put around 30 fish in the boat. We did catch a few fish with live shad. All and all it was a great day to be out with good friends

Spoonbill trip Chouteau Bend March27th

I had the pleasure to take Hugh and Angela out on a snagging trip. We ended up putting 4 fish in the boat. They went 40 to 60 lbs. We only had a 3 hour trip and it was a little tuff that evening. I had a great time and hope to see you again.

Spoonbill trip March 23rd

I had the last trip out with the Paragon group and man did they ever put the hurt on the spoonbill. It was a little rainey and a little cold and cloudy. That did not stop them one single bit from putting fish over the side of the boat. We splashed the boat at 9 am and just a short boat ride they had the first spoonbill coming over the side of the boat. Fish ranged in weight from 30lbs. to 65lbs. There were a couple of times when they had doubles on. There also was a time during that day when a fishing rod went sailing out of the hands of one of my fishermen. Lucky for us another fisherman in a boat fishing the same area snagged it and was gracious enough to return it to me. I think we ended up with 24 fish that day and it will be a day to remember.

Spooonbill trip March 17th 2013

Had another great day on Chouteau Bend with some great friends. We started the day out with putting rain suits on as soon as we got out of the truck. That did not stop this group from putting fish in the boat. At the end of the day they ended up with 13 fish. Now I must say that Kristen had figured it out really quick with putting 5 fish in the boat. The rest was caught between the other 3. All fishwent from 40 to 60 lbs. Thanks for a great day on the water!!!!

Spoonbill trip March16th 2013

I had the second group out from Paragon Films and man deed they ever put a hurt on the spoonbill. They ended up with 23 fish ranging from 30 to 60lbs. These fish where stacked really tight on top of each other and there was a couple of times when we had  doubles. We had a lot of laughs with these guys and I had a great time fishing with them. I have one more trip with Paragon on the 23rd and wanting to see if the last group puts the most fish in the boat.

Snagging trip on Chouteau Bend March 15th 2013

I had the pleasure to take out Brice and Natalie Pope on a snagging/sandbass trip. We got into the spoonbill really quick and it was game on from there. They put 10 plus fish in the boat and they weighed any where from 40 to around 60lbs. After a short break for some food Natalie decided that it was time to search for some sandbass. On our second stop we put on some live shad, put down the trolling motor, thru out some free lines and pulled them real slow and it wasnt just a few minutes and the first sandbass was headed to the boat with the help of Natalie. After the end of the day I ended up cleaning around 25 sandbass. I was a true pleasure to have Brice and Natalie out in the boat today.

Snagging trip at Chouteau Bend March 9th 2013

Had a great trip with guys from Paragom Films. This was the first time they have ever been snagging and man did we ever get into them. They caught around 15 fish which most of them went 35 to 55 lbs. We had one real nice one that went 75lbs.
